I only hope that I’m predicting the future right. A smartphone without 3.5mm jack, without a charging port and without bezels! That is the smartphone I want! With a wireless charging option you can take the charging port out, only if you are able to transfer data wireless as well. For now that is just dreaming, but with the Blitzwolf BW-FWC4 we are getting a step closer to the future.

Unboxing

The box of the Blitzwolf BW-FWC4 is really small and thin, but heavy. I did not think that a wireless charger would weigh that much. On front we find the name of the wireless charger and at the back we find minor specifications. Inside we find the bare minimal. We have a flat USB cable, the wireless charger, a manual and a warranty guide.

Hardware & Design

The Blitzwolf BW-FWC4 is pretty heavy but looks good. The weight give it a nice premium and durable feeling. The light is well placed on front and easily viewable. This gives you the status in just a second. With the flat charger cable provided and the Micro-USB port at the back, which is well placed as well, you can easily “hide” the cable.

LED Colors

On the front of the Blitzwolf BW-FWC4 we find a LED light, which indicates if it is charging or not or if something is wrong. There are 3 possible states of the LED light:

Blue:	This means that the Blitzwolf BW-FWC4 is charging a device normally.
No Light:	The Blitzwolf BW-FWC4 is doing nothing or the smartphone that is on there is completely charged.
Red:	This light is indicating that the device on their is not supporting Wireless Charging or that the charging behavior is abnormal.

Performance

The Blitzwolf BW-FWC4 is able to perform on several levels. You can use the Blitzwolf BW-FWC4 for 5W, 7,5W, 10W and 15W charging! That makes the Blitzwolf BW-FWC4 widely available and usable for a variety of different models.

If you have a Qi enabled device, you will standard use the normal 5W option.

The 7.5W option works for example on the iPhone X or the iPhone 8 Plus.

If you want the 10W option, which will charge twice as fast, you need the Samsung S8 or the Samsung S9 for example.

Charging with twice the speed is really nice and makes it possible to place it on the Blitzwolf BW-FWC4 for a few moments and get twice the percentage as a normal charger.

Protection

The Blitzwolf BW-FWC4 has 4 extra protections on the wireless charger to keep you and your smartphone safe.

There is the “FOD Protection“, “Temperature Control Protection“, “Over Current Protection” and “Over Voltage Protection“.
Charging with the Blitzwolf BW-FWC4 will protect your smartphone for all the above! Don’t worry about your smartphone getting too hot, get too much current or voltage. This is really well done by Blitzwolf. This wireless charger does not cost that much and is on the cheaper side of the wireless charger. The Blitzwolf BW-FWC4 is a good investment and it will be worth your money.

How To Use?

What I really like about the Blitzwolf BW-FWC4 is that it does not matter how you place your smartphone on the Blitzwolf BW-FWC4. The 360 degree charging option is nice, but you have to place it with the wireless charger inside on the Blitzwolf BW-FWC4, otherwise it won’t work. Luckily the iPhone 8 has a big pad and it works every time I place it on there. The Elephone U Pro has a smaller pad and you have to place it right in the middle. It does not matter at what angle, just make sure that you hear the charging sound.

Blitzwolf really made it as easy as possible to charge your device.

Can I Use My Case?

Some cases are suitable for the Blitzwolf BW-FWC4, like some thin clear cases (within 3mm). If you have a case with a metal ring at the back or a magnetic pad, you can not use the Blitzwolf BW-FWC4. This can cause damage to your smartphone or the Blitzwolf charger and is not recommended by Blitzwolf.

Please remove your case if you have a metal ring or magnetic pad at the back. Clear thin cases (within 3mm) are fine and the charger will work normally.

Conclusion

I’m very pleased with the Blitzwolf BW-FWC4. From packaging, which looks good, to the performance, which is very good to the materials used. Blitzwolf just made it work and it all looks and works really good.

I love to use the Blitzwolf BW-FWC4 at work and just place my Elephone U Pro on the charger instead of plugging in a cable. Blitzwolf changed this technology into a very nice, good working working that will simplify your life.
