Listen with bluetooth headphones, like the Bose QC35, is just great! I hate the wires. Another thing I hate is the losing connection when I walk around my house. A BlitzWolf engineer had the same issue and came up with the BlitzWolf BW-BR4!

Unboxing
The box is the same as the BlitzWolf BW-FWC4. It is clear what the content is and at the back we find minor specifications.
Inside we see the BlitzWolf BW-BR4 right away. If you are not familiar with such a product (like I was before this one) it might be a little intimidating. The BlitzWolf BW-BR4 looks good and it is clear what all the ports are.
What else is in the box? We have a user manual, which is really handy (I copied most in the review) and several cables. We have a 3.5mm AUX cable, a Fiber Optic cable, a Micro-USB cable, and an RCA cable. All you need to connect your TV, smartphone, laptop or other devices to the BlitzWolf BW-BR4.
Hardware & Design
I like the shiny front. On the front, it is all clearly written what each port does. This makes it, even for someone less technical, easy to use. All feels very solid, even the antennae feels good and solid. This gives that premium feeling that we had with the Blitzwolf BW-FWC4 and the BlitzWolf BW-P5. I can only say that the quality is really high at BlitzWolf.
All the cables are good too. Most of us have a Micro-USB or a 3.5mm AUX cable already at home. It is handy that BlitzWolf gives one with the package as well. The cables connect really easily and there is no hard pressure you have to put on there to make it work. Taking out the cable goes smoothly as well, sometimes with a little bit more power than when placing it in there. Which makes perfect sense. You don’t want to the cable to come loose easily.
LED Indiciator
There is only one LED on the BlitzWolf BW-BR4, but it can give you a lot of information. Here is a table with all the LED status meanings:

Features
You can either send or receive Bluetooth with the BlitzWolf BW-BR4. This means that you can use the BW-BR4 in several ways.
For example, you can use it to send out a bluetooth signal from your computer so that you can listen to your music without being interrupted. Or you can send your music from your smartphone to your speakers. Now the music will keep going, even if you leave the room.
TX Mode
This is the “Transmitter” mode. Connect the BlitzWolf BW-BR4 to the source device, laptop, TV or MP3 for example, and connect the BlitzWolf BW-BR4 with the receiving audio device, like a headphone, speaker of a Hi-Fi system.

RX Mode
This is the “Receiving” mode. You will send out music or other sounds via your TV, MP3 or smartphone. The BlitzWolf BW-BR4 receives the signal and send it to the connected device. This connection is made via wires and can be anything, like a TV, Hi-Fi system or speaker.
Pair With Headphones
This is the main feature I use with the BlitzWolf BW-BR4. I connect my Bose QuietComfort 35 with it and I can walk around my house without losing the connection. So how do you connect your headphone?
First, you have to set the BlitzWolf BW-BR4 to TX mode, this will send the bluetooth signal from the source (my laptop). Now you have to turn on the BlitzWolf BW-BR4 by holding the front button for 3 to 5 seconds. Turn on your bluetooth headphone and put it in pairing mode. Click the button on the BlitzWolf BW-BR4 2 times shortly after each other now. Within 30 seconds the headphone and the BW-BR4 will make the connection and you can enjoy your music.
Usecases
There are numerous ways to use the BlitzWolf BW-BR4. I’ve used in several ways. Making a review too long is not what we want so I will just name 3 use cases. If you like to know more use cases, just send me a e-mail!
Use Case #1: Send audio to your bluetooth headphone
You can still use wired headphones, like the Xiaomi Piston which are very cheap or the KZ ZS10 or use a more expensive wireless headphone. I love the wireless life and being limited to move around. Well, there was another limitation. Bluetooth range.
With the BlitzWolf BW-BR4 that is solved! When you put your bluetooth headphone into pairing mode and press the button twice on the BlitzWolf BW-BR4 on RX mode, it will automatically make the connection with you headphone within 30 seconds. Now that the connection is made, you can enjoy your music within 100 meters! Walk into different rooms, no problem at all with the BlitzWolf BW-BR4!

Use Case #2: Send audio to your Hi-Fi set
You have a great set of Hi-Fi speakers, but once you connect your phone and you move a little bit, the connection cracks a bit. Annoying!
With the BlitzWolf BW-BR4, you can enjoy your noise-free music over your Hi-Fi speaker set. All you have to do is pair the BlitzWolf BW-BR4 with the Hi-Fi set using either the cables or your Bluetooth connection. If you connect them via Bluetooth, you have to connect the BlitzWolf BW-BR4 with the cables to your audio source and the other way around.
This works great when you have a party and you move around a lot. Never lose the connection and keep the party going!
Use Case #3: Send audio to your car speaker
Do you hate the advertisement on the radio as much as I do? You can solve it with the Xiaomi Roidme 3S or with the BlitzWolf BW-BR4. Connect the BW-BR4 to your car and send your music via Bluetooth to the BlitzWolf BW-BR4.
With the strong signal being sent from the BlitzWolf BW-BR4, you will get crystal clear audio in your car. Who does not want that?!
Battery Life
The battery life of the BlitzWolf BW-BR4 is really amazing if you ask me. For such a small device, the battery keeps on going. There is a 600mAh battery inside which will last 175 hours on standby mode!
On working mode (AUX), it can last 15 hours. It does not matter if it is RX or TX.
On working mode (SPDIF), it can last 17 hours! Again it does not matter if it is RX or TX.
I’m really happy with the battery life. It does not only last long but it chargers really quickly as well. You can also use it on power so you never have to charge it.

Charging Time
If you BlitzWolf BW-BR4 is empty, you can charge it using a 5V charger. It completely charges in 2 to 2.5 hours. When it is completely charged, you can use it for at least 15 hours on the AUX mode! Just perfect if you ask me.
Don’t want to wait 2 to 2.5 hours? You can always use it on a power charger (5V) and never go out of battery again.

Conclusion
At first, I was not so sure why an how to use the BlitzWolf BW-BR4. Now that I have it, I can not go without. Now I can walk around my house without losing the bluetooth connection with my headphones.
the BlitzWolf BW-BR4 looks good and it is very clear what all the ports are. They made it easy for people who are not that familiar with this kind of product, to use it easily. Even with all the names of the ports written on the front, you still have to read the manual to understand and use it properly.
Due to the good battery inside, you can use it for a very long time without the power connected. This is very handy if you want to use it in a different house or on the road.
