Unboxing

The Alfawise SD Card comes in unique sized packaging. Information is located on the back, but it is minimal and covered by a barcode sticker. There is minimal plastic used, which is a good thing! Companies cannot change the size of the SD card, so Alfawse stuck to the standard size. They did change the looks of it, and they placed an angry cat on the Alfawise SD Card. This is a fun way to make your SD card stick out from the overpopulated SD card market. There are many, many brands delivering SD cards, like Cooltoday, Samsung or Microdata. Besides the design, the performance is something to set yourself apart with.

SD Card Benchmark Test

A website, especially if it is not a big company like Samsung, can promise high speed in writing and reading. Can they deliver the promised speed? Do SD cards from China have the same storage amount? Let’s see if this SD Card has the same storage amount as advertised. I used an app, and this app will write an 8GB file on the SD card when the writing speed is tested, this app will read the 8GB file. Both rates are measured and shown in the test results below. (All tests are run on a Xiaomi Pocophone F1)

Write Performance

As a rather small company compared to Samsung, the performance of the Alfawise SD Card is really promising. Outperforming other small brands is a great achievement and possibly make it the best budget option available now. With a tested 26MB/s write speed we can conclude that Alfawise is producing great SD cards. They are cheaper than Samsung, but the performance is somewhat the same.

Read Performance

With a maximum of 80MB/s, we hoped to get as close as possible to this number but saw some other brands score a bit lower on the read test too. Alfaswise proved to be a great SD card producer with the write test, and in the read test, they amazed us again. They scored an fantastic 78MB/s! This is only 2MB/s lower than the advertised maximum! For a rather small company producing SD cards, Alfawise made up the promise. Quick SD cards for an excellent price. The Alfawise SD Card is definitely a good option for you, no matter what your plans are.

Also, the measured read speed is the average of the test. As seen in the image below, the Alfawise SD Card is performing at around 81MB/s to 84MB/s. Simply amazing.

Available Storage

Missing 0.25GB is acceptable and well within our expectations when we buy an SD card. We almost got every single MB available to use for your data and that, seen the size and status of Alfawise, is very promising. Producing an SD card, which is just below the one from Samsung is fantastic and gives me hope for cheaper alternatives to the big companies. When buying the Alfawise SD Card, you almost have every single MB available to store your data on there, and that is just what we want as customers, right?
