Hardware & Design
Just look at it! The IDEAFLY JJ 2-Axis Gimbal looks great and I love to make a video with this video stabilizer. The design is great, but the feeling is not that great. It has a bit of a cheap feeling when you are holding the IDEAFLY JJ 2-Axis Gimbal. For me, that is fine. I paid less for this product and I don’t expect it to feel like the way more expensive alternatives.
The design, on the other hand, is convenient and easy to control. With the controls on the handle, you are ready to go and control the IDEAFLY JJ 2-Axis Gimbal. This makes it way easier to make a smooth and stable video.

How to use?
Using the IDEAFLY JJ 1S 2-Axis is easy if you know what the buttons mean. You click on your smartphone, connect to the IDEAFLY JJ 1S 2-Axis using your Bluetooth and you are ready to shoot some great stable videos. So, how are the controls working?
Controls
Near your thumb, you have several buttons. These buttons are used to control the IDEAFLY JJ 1S 2-Axis. How? The first and top open round is the Bluetooth indicator. There are two arrows, one up and one down. If you press up, the smartphone will tilt up and if you press down the smartphone will tilt down.
The “M” button is used to put the gimbal in “Locked” mode or in the “Following” mode. Locked means that it will keep its position and follow mode will follow you around. There is also a “V” button which is used to change to vertical or horizontal mode. Very easy and it works well!
Underneath the “M” and the “V” is another LED indicator, this one is used to let you know if it is in working mode. The last button is to start a video of taking a picture, depending on the mode you have selected with your smartphone.

Battery Life
Inside the IDEAFLY JJ 2-Axis Gimbal is a 1500mAh battery which is pretty big if you ask me. With this battery, you have around 6 hours of action time. This is more than enough to make some great, stable videos. When it is completely empty, you need around 3 hours to charge the IDEAFLY JJ 2-Axis Gimbal. Charging time is quite long compared to the action time.
Overall the action time of the battery is long enough to enjoy it and make some great videos. Even if you have to re-take some shots, the battery won’t die on you.
Conclusion
Making a video with the IDEAFLY JJ 2-Axis Gimbal is just great and I can recommend everybody who makes videos to use a gimbal. It is simple to use and it works with every phone if it fits the holder. It doesn’t matter if you have an iPhone or an Android phone, it just works.
I like the design and feel of the product. It has a bit of a plastic feeling, but it also has some weight due to the battery. The feeling is not super-premium, just normal and that is acceptable seen the price of this gimbal.
