Unboxing
Talking about minimalistic packaging. The colors and the set up of the box are the same in all BlitzWolf products. The name of the product is on the front and there are some specifications on the back.
In the packaging of the BlitzWolf BW-FYE7 was some plastic and foam to keep it in its place, but inside the BlitzWolf BW-TH5 is just nothing. There are the information sheets and the hub itself and that’s it! No waste or excessive use of materials.

Hardware & Design
While unpacking the BlitzWolf BW-TH5, I’m amazed by the size of this hub. It is way smaller and thinner than the Novoo USB-C Hub, yet it has all the ports I need. There are 3 USB 3.0 ports on there for fast transfer of data and an HDMI to connect your computer to a big screen.
The hub is made out of metal which makes it very durable. The material does not make it heavy at all with just 52 grams. On the bottom of the hub, there are two anti-skid silicone pads that prevent the hub from moving around.
The cable feels durable and the point where it is attached feels solid too. I don’t think that this cable will break easily or fast, but only time will tell.

There are many, many compatible devices. For example, you can use the BlitzWolf BW-TH5 with all MacBooks or the iPad Pro. Huawei MateBook, Huawei Matebook X, and the Huawei Matebook X Pro are also compatible.
If you want to use the BlitzWolf BW-TH5 on a smartphone, you can use it with the Samsung S8 and newer models, Huawei Mate 10 Pro and newer models and many others.
For computers, it doesn’t what operating system you use. You can use it on Mac OSX, Chrome OS, Windows, and Linux.

Conclusion
Having a lightweight USB hub made my life as a traveler easier. Now I don’t have to carry around a heavy laptop with different ports but I can just bring my Chromebook. This hub just weighs 52 grams which you won’t notice in your backpack.
There are multiple USB 3.0 ports available which give you 5Gbps transmission speed, great to transfer photos to your computer! There is an HDMI port which supports 4K and all that, and more, in a small package. I just love it. For the price, this is a very decent and well build (metal!) hub which is a no-brainer if you ask me.
